The Florida Kinship Center at the University of South Florida School of Social Work is the brainchild of Drs. Aaron Smith and Anne Strozier.  Longtime kinship advocates, Aaron and Anne believe that grandparents and other relatives raising children are entitled to recognition and ongoing support.  To help achieve these primary goals in Florida, they created a university-based Center that provides innovative programs and services, offers cutting edge evaluation and research, and enables strong community partnerships.

In an effort to provide links to other quality kinship-related research and institutions outside Florida, two additional selections from this main menu are provided.  Click on the Other Research button to find a bibliography of kinship articles.  Or click on the US Census data button to find the number of children being raised by grandparents and other relatives by Florida county.
