The Florida Kinship Center Programs combine research and service.

Kin As Teachers A family support program designed to serve kinship caregivers raising children from birth to Kindergarten entry in Hillsborough County, FL.

Kinship Care Connection A school-based intervention designed to serve elementary and middle school children and their kinship caregivers in Hillsborough County, FL.

Kinship Care Warmline A statewide support line that provides a warm and supportive listening ear, emotional support, information and referral services for kinship caregivers raising relatives children in Florida. In the Tampa Bay area dial 813-974-1328; elsewhere in Florida call 1-800-640-6444.

Kinship Navigator A new program that links kinship caregivers to needed services in Hillsborough County.  The Kinship Navigator assists relative (kinship) caregivers in navigating social service systems and helps them to secure services for their families with programs in Hillsborough County, FL.

Kinship Partners A program dedicated to working with the community to build awareness about kinship care and provide support to kinship caregivers in the following counties: Charlotte, Collier, DeSoto, Glades, Hardee, Henry, Highlands, Hillsborough, Lee, Manatee, Polk, and Sarasota.

Legal Hotline A program designed to provide education, information and referral to volunteer attorneys and legal aide offices for relative caregivers who face legal challenges as it relates to the children in their care.  Examples of these challenges are those which prevent them from accessing social services, providing medical care, enrolling children in school, in addition to other legal problems in Florida.  

Research & Evaluation Design, tests, and disseminates applied research on FKC Programs and community-based programs designed to support kinship caregiving families.

Special Events  The Florida Kinship Center and relative caregivers across the state of Florida meet with Florida Legislators and other State Officials in Tallahassee to increase our representatives' awareness of the issues faced when raising the children of others. The event is an annual empowering opportunity to be an advocate for kinship caregivers.  The annual FKC Tailgate Fundraiser is the centers' opportunity to raise awareness of its services, while raising donations to ensure the center can continue to provide support to caregivers; along with adding a bit of spirited support for USF Football and cheering the Bulls on to victory!
